Watermarking Images

Modified on Wed, Aug 28 at 5:32 PM

All images uploaded in trade chats will have a unique watermark that serves as an added layer of security for the sensitive information sent.

Why do Paxful watermark images?

You may have noticed that all images uploaded in trade chat have a watermark with a trade number and our platform's name. This is a security measure that prevents sensitive information, such as prepaid card images, from being used in fraudulent activities such as irresponsible reselling or brokering. We aim to prevent scammers from reselling any prepaid cards they acquire on our platform.

When images are not watermarked?

There are also reasons for possessing a clear, non-watermarked picture. One of those reasons, for example, with prepaid cards is to solve any questions with the card company.

So how do I get non-watermarked images?

  • The KYC/ID verification process should be completed and successfully confirmed.
  • Images in the trade chat will be displayed without a watermark 24 hours after the cryptocurrency is released.
